Currently on My Beauty Radar: Lancôme Erika F Eyeshadow.

I’m sure we’ve all had these moments.  You know, the ones where you first lay your eyes on a product and then this: “Oh god, please let it not be limited edition or god forbid, sold out!”

(via Blogdorf Goodman)

Meet Lancôme Erika F Eyeshadow, a product with a huge cult following especially in the US, where it isn’t available.  It is green, gold, grey, taupe all woven together to make a beautiful eyeshadow.

This is my life right now.  I’m a little afraid to ask the Lancôme counter if this is sold here in Canada.  I’m a little afraid of how I’ll feel if they say the N word.  What will I do then?  Do I start asking for a custom purchase from my international blog friends?  Do I start looking on eBay?  Should I travel to Europe just to find this beautiful creature of an eyeshadow?  What. Will. I. Do?

Oh, if you’re curious about how she looks on a real person (at least I think she’s real :P ), check out Jen W’s Chanel Fall Runway Inspired FOTD on her blog.  How many ways can you say gorgeous?

What has caused your beauty-loving heart to beat a million times a minute recently?  Anything I need? ;)

So Underrated: Lancôme Color Design Blush.

I am the newest member of the cream blush — specifically of Lancôme Color Design Blush — bandwagon.  I have this in Prêt a Plum, and I am dying to get my hands on more colours from this line.

It was actually an unforeseen gem from some blushes I received from a fellow blogger (you know who you are!).  Before I tried it, I had no intentions of ever buying cream blushes fearing that they will:

  1. be sticky,
  2. be difficult to blend, and
  3. melt off my face.

Luckily for me, Lancôme Color Design Blush is none of the above.

Swatches of Prêt a Plum

Lancôme really hit the nail on the head on the cream blush texture.  The blush is a deliciously smooth cream-to-powder formula that is idiot-proof.  It has a very slight dewy finish, so it looks like your skin, only blushing. ;)  It has great staying power when worn on its own, but my favourite way to wear it is layered under a complementing powder blush.  Even on my oily skin, the colour on my cheeks lasts all day.  Can you imagine?  A blush that lasts through the greasies and sweat, and does not rub off on my iPhone?  Pretty impressive, no?

I decided to Google reviews of this product and it only returned a handful of results.  I’m really surprised that this doesn’t get more love from beauty blogs, because it is the best cheek product I have come across.  I have no complaints about this blush.  Oh, actually I do have one: I don’t own all the colours.  Love this.  Rating: A+.

A message from Scherbatsky

I guess Scherbatsky wants to make her presence known on the blogosphere since she just jumped on my keyboard and typed this message for you:

Taste the Rainbow.

I’m feeling particularly kooky today, so here are some liner swatches in rainbow form.

It’s been pretty dreary in Toronto.  I wouldn’t mind seeing one of these sometime. (Click to enlarge, because duh, you can’t read that small font!  Or can you?)

  • R = Annabelle Lip Liner in Cherry
  • O = Marcelle Lipstick in Pearl Flame (‘kay, totally not a liner, I cheated!)
  • Y = Sephora Flashy Liner in Flashy Copper
  • G = Rimmel Kajal Soft Pencil in Jungle Green
  • B = GOSH Extreme Art Liner in 10 Deep Sea
  • I = Lancome Ink Artliner in Indigo Charm
  • V = MAC Liquidlast Liner in Electolady

How has your week been?  I did a major booboo at work today, totally amateurish.  If I wasn’t so lucky I probably would have been fired, or scolded really horribly.  Yikes!  But all is well now. :D
