Giorgio Armani Easy Chic Fall 2012 Collection Reviews, Photos, Swatches

So it begins. Giorgio Armani Easy Chic Fall 2012 collection comes out this month at Holt Renfrew, and this is an incredible little collection that you don’t want to miss out on. This is one brand that continues to impress me, and I hope you’ll see why. ;) Read on to see a few stunning items from the collection.

Rouge d’Armani in 408 Rosewood Red and Neo Classic Face & Eye Palette in Neo Black

The Neo Classic Face & Eye Palette in Neo Black ($95) contains two tiers of powders: a browned peach blush, and a trio of eyeshadows in shimmery champagne, gold-flecked khaki taupe, and a matte black.

The eyeshadows are a new formula; very different from the previous eyeshadow palettes from Giorgio Armani. They have much better pigmentation and glide, and don’t have any fallout issues. Don’t let the black eyeshadow swatch fool you. The shade is deep and smooth on the eyes. The face powder is sheer and has the most beautiful glow. Like the eyeshadows, it applies smoothly. It barely shows up on my skin tone (beautiful on fair skin like Beautezine, though), so it is perfect to balance a smokey eye. There is also a Neo Brown palette available; it is also gorgeous, as seen on Makeup Magpie.

Rouge d’Armani in 408 Rosewood Red

Limited edition shades of my favourite lipstick formula evarrr make me nervous. Rouge d’Armani in 408 Rosewood Red ($38) is a deep blue red that has autumn written all over it. From my previous review: the formula is absolutely phenomenal.  It is super creamy, saturated and melts on to the lips without any dragging. I recommend a liner to keep it from slipping around on the lips too much.  Also available in 526 Purpleheart (plum) and 111 Vintage Pine (beige).

A beauty PSA: not pictured, but do not miss the Waterproof Eye Pencil in 1 Granite Black ($29). I bought mine from the Spring 2011 collection and it is my favourite black eyeliner pencil. Very waterproof, very black, and I can wear it on my waterline for a long time. You need it. It is also available in 2 Earthen Brown.

The neo black eye shadows are so pretty and the mat black looks really black and well pigmented! The powder looks too fair for deeper skintones tho, I prefer the neo brown one over that Still gorgeous palette! And you really make me want to try their lipsticks now, my poor wallet!

I agree Teri. The blush on the Neo Brown palette is a better blush shade. The Rouge d’Armanis are a MUST. Best lipstick formula ever. :)

WOW WOW WOW WOW! That Rouge d’Armani is killing me. SO gorgeous. You snuck up on me with that liner! I think I need that now. Have you tried the Marcelle one I just reviewed to compare? Thanks!

The Giorgio Armani only requires a single pass to be fully black. It’s really incredible. I’m going to run out and buy another.

    THAT LIPSTICK I DIE. NEED.

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

      Yesss, Tracy! YES.

So excited that I might be able to snatch these in my visit to the TO! Hurray for Holt Renfrews!

That lipstick is stunning in color but I doubt it would suit my skintone. But that palette… ROWR.

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

Weeee! The lipstick would TOTALLY suit your skin tone. REALLY!

Wow that eyeliner looks awesome–it’s so black! I like that a lot. The eyeshadow palette is ok–I prefer Neo Brown because the blush that comes with it is to-die-for. This one doesn’t seem like it would show up very well on my skin

I have never been so excited over black eyeliner before. This stuff is the best.

  • http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/ Liz

    I LIKE IT.

    A LOT!

    :)

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

You and I both, Liz. :D

  • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com/ Sunny @ Mostly Sunny

I think I might need that lipstick (or a Rouge d’Armani in any case)! I’m sure the face powder wouldn’t show up on me either, though the eyeshadows do look fantastic!

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

Hey Sunny! Everybody needs a Rouge d’Armani. They do really fantastic reds.

  • http://brigidbeautyblog.wordpress.com Christine Brigid

Not sure that I am falling in love with the eyeshadow/ blush — although the packaging is fantastic. That LIPPIE on the other hand…. ooooooo……delicious!

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

Looks like the Rouge d’Armani is the standout in this collection eh? Go get ‘em, Christine Brigid. ;)

  • Melissa

That lipstick is killer. The shade is absolutely perfect. I’d want to wear it all the time. I like the eye shadows, they make for a easy smokey, but the blush I’m not sure about. I’d have to test it out first.

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

Hi Melissa, it’s definitely a lipstick you’ll wanna wear all the time. It’s stunning.

I was going to pick up Chanel’s new Noir Intense Stylo Yeux as I need a new black liner, but now I’m wondering if I shouldn’t hold out for this? Choices, ahhh!! I love the look of this palette, though I think I would opt for the Neo Brown as well, not only for the darker blush but I seem to NEVER wear black shadow in any capacity. Though it is something I’m working on :P I can’t wait to see your gorgeous look with this Arianne!

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

I vote Giorgio Armani liner! You won’t regret it, Toya. I promise.

the colours look very smooth, even though they look matte.
it’s very difficult to find in the market.

and this compact is really handy – got 2 things in one. great for touch-ups!

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

It is a really nice palette for touch ups. The eyeshadows are lovely.

It looks so nice! I like the eyeshadow of this palette but I prefer the blush from the brown palette. I think both palette are nice. I have not decided which one to get but definitely will get one :)
