Hi, my name is Arianne and I am a lipgloss snob. I shy away from goopy, sticky lips. I love the shine even though Mr. Glitter Geek says “it looks like you ate a greasy hamburger and didn’t wipe your mouth.” Articulate, that boy is. As a lipstick addict, one of my beauty resolutions this year is to try more lipglosses. Lipglosses for a Lipgloss Snob is a series of posts that highlights my favourite lipgloss formulas at the moment.

Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses in Peony and Bordeaux
I remember when Revlon came out with the Colorburst lipstick line. Everybody raved about them (including me, naturally!) but I didn’t hear much about the lipgloss formula when it came out later on. Just like the well-loved lipstick formula, the Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss (around $10) is worth talking about.

Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses in Peony and Bordeaux
The Revlon Colorburst lipglosses pack a great amount of pigment and shine. Peony is a gorgeous pinky-peach with gold sparkles, while Bordeaux is a stunning deep berry with barely there sparkle. Both colours, worn alone or atop lipstick, are very flattering. Stickiness factor here is zero. Not sticky at all, guys!

Revlon Black Cherry Lipstick + Bordeaux Lipgloss
In my opinion, these are hidden gems at the drugstore. I’d say I love Bordeaux as much as my Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Fatale. Did I just compare a Revlon to a Chanel just now? Yes, yes I did.
Have you tried these? Do you have a favourite lipgloss from the drugstore?

Oh Arianne, Messy Wands is right – you’ve got the perfect lips that look good in any lippie. Oh, and the fluttery lashes!
Oh thank you Jamilla.
I need to check out that Bordeaux, I like lip glosses that really pop without the sticky and $10 is worth a try.
These are amazing for the price, Danielle.
Let me know if you try it and what you think.
Need to check these babies out! Not much of a gloss girl, but I’m also trying to love it.
Tracy@BeautyReflections’s last post … Ilia Conditioning Lip Balm
You should, Tracy. I think you’ll like them.
These are very pretty and I’m happy to say that I’m like you. I dislike goopy sticky lipglosses too but these Revlon Colorburst ones do just fine – I have to go take mine out for a spin tomorrow

Oooh Paris which shade do you have? Do I need it LOL?
Oh my gosh, Bordeaux is stunning! I have a bright pink shade (forgot the name) and it’ super shiny! The only thing I don’t love is the applicator :p.
dani@callitbeauty’s last post … Said You Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’…
You’re right Dani, the applicator is a bit difficult to manoeuvre along the lip lines. It’s okay if we’re just slapping it on over lipstick.
Omg Revlon’s Bordeaux has been a complete constant in my make up bag since I have seen it. Perfect for swiping on right before a dinner out after work! def a winner!
Really? That’s amazing. What else is in that make up bag right now?
the revlon colorbursts are by FAR my fave drugstore lipglosses! i looooove my “fire” one. bourdeaux looks awesome

I just looked up Fire, Vonnie. OMG! I need it.
I’m really digging Bordeaux! With some luck I MIGHT be able to find these in Belgium, though that means I have to make it to Brussels lol
Thanks for sharing Arianne!

Woah, I never would’ve thought they would be so nice on! And not sticky – I’m going to have to get me some of that.
Do you find they dry out your lips after the gloss has worn off? That’s usually the problem for me and glosses.
Bordeaux looks amazing for your coloring!
I thought Peony would be more up my alley but omg I’m all about Bordeaux now after seeing your lip swatch.
I can’t deny, I have been shying away from gloss lately. It feels like to much money to spend on something with such a short wear time.
OMG boys do not get lip gloss at all. Hubby refuses to kiss me with lip gloss, lipstick, lip balm, etc, because he thinks it feels as greasy as it looks. Boys!
The Bordeaux + black Cherry looks so gorge…I want!
Lauren’s last post … Best Valentine’s Day Ever
ARgghh you have perfect lips! Jealous over here. Anyway I love love love these and have amassed quite the selection of them.
the perfect lips strike again!
Love both of these on you. I purchased Bordeaux last fall but Peony looks like a lovely spring neutral! These are probably my favorite drugstore gloss
P.S. Black Cherry + Bordeaux = where have you been all my life??
How on earth do you get such fantastic pictures of your lips?!
Devon xx
Hahaha Devon, I practice my pout!
Agreed. Your lips are perfect. Photoshop perfect. Women-bring-a- picture-of-your-lips-to-the-plastic-surgeon-cause-they’re-perfect perfect. Seriously.
And the pigments in the Revlon are great aren’t they?
