Giorgio Armani Fall 2011 Jacquard Collection Reviews, Swatches.

Did I make you wait long enough? :P  Have a look at some swatches at items from Giorgio Armani Jacquard Collection.  Close up photos of the products can be found here.

Blushing Fabric in 6, Quatuor Eye Palette in 1, Rouge d’Armani in 406

Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric in 6 ($70) is a warm brown cream-to-powder blush.  This blush has a very slippery feel and is a dream to blend into the skin.  This particular colour is incredibly pigmented; the blended swatch below has 1/3 the amount of the concentrated swatch on the left.  It lasts all day on the cheeks.  Those with cool skin tones may have a hard time pulling off a shade like this, but warmer skin tones will wear it beautifully for a natural bronze-y blush.

Giorgio Armani Jacquard Quatuor Eye Palette in 1 ($45) includes a light olive, a cool sea green, a forest green, and a deep purple.  The three lighter shades are shimmery, while the purple is matte.  They are very pigmented even when swatched dry, but they are definitely more vibrant when applied wet.  All the colours are universally flattering and are well coordinated.

Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani in 406 ($38) is a rich pink-y red with a beautiful sheen to it.  I think it might even have silver shimmer laced in it. The formula is absolutely phenomenal.  It is super creamy, saturated and melts on to the lips without any dragging.  I recommend a liner to keep it from slipping around on the lips too much.  Love love love this!

Watch out for a look using these products in the next week.  For now, what do you think of the collection so far?  Are you going to buy, or pass on it?

The lipstick is just wow. I would pass on the eyeshadows, though – very dupable but the packaging is so wow.

I’d say the eyeshadows aren’t must-haves for me either. The lipstick and blush are great though!

Mmm, that lipstick! *oohs and ahhs* 406 is a seriously sexy shade – can’t wait to see it in the FOTD ;)

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

Should I pair it with the trademarked theNotice sex kitten eye? LOL

That lipstick is incredible on you! I need a red and Rouge d’Armanis are quickly becoming my fave formula!

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

It really is a great formula. The new pinks look amazing from swatches I’ve seen so far.

Oh that blush does look very pigmented! Great shade!

And that lipstick! Wow! Really pretty!!!

      It’s so so nice eh?

Thanks for the awesome swatches of this collection. I really like the pattern of the eyeshadow palette but I’m not sure the colors sway my lemming. The red lipstick is indeed gorgeous on you!

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

You know, I have a feeling the other palette might be nicer colour-wise. :) You’re right, this one’s just alright.

  • http://www.beauty-reflections.com Tracy@BeautyReflections

Everything looks gorgeous, but I think I will pass. Nothing is really saying “Buy me Tracy!” :)
The lipstick is pretty on you though!

I wonder baout the quality of the e/s – the Summer LE had very nice and soft e/s, while the regular quatuor palettes are silky and “thin”.

The colours are great – just wonder if they suit me.

Lipsticks I have a lot already – any colour is a staple if it’s GA!
Thanky you very much for the swatches.

The palette is so pretty to look at but after seeing swatches I’m kinda “meh” about it.

Damn! Is there any lipstick that doesn’t look amazing on you? That’s not a rhetorical question, I genuinely want to know! :P

    Awesome lipstick!

Well you totally just saved me quite a bit of money. I was planning on picking up the blushing fabric but I think it would just disappear on my skintone. …Then again you’ve made me re-want the Rouge d’Armani lipstick sooooooo.

  • http://Website Danielle

I will probably pass, but that lipstick is divine and looks gorg on you! You can rock the bright lips girl!

  • http://silhouettescreams.blogspot.com SilhouetteScreams

OH MY GOD that lipstick is DIVINE. I’d also love to see how the Blushing Fabric would work as a cream/liquid bronzer :)

  • Purzel

Which liner will work with the #406 lipstick ?

    • http://www.glittergeek.ca Arianne

      Hi Purzel,

Any ol’ red lip liner will do. MAC ‘Red Enriched’ Cremestick Liner would work well. :)
