YSL Ombres Duolumières in Nº 33

YSL Ombres Duolumières in Nº 33 ($52) from the Metallic Colorama Holiday 2010 collection is such an unexpected pairing for an eyeshadow duo.  Housed in the luxe golden packaging are a shimmery slightly bluish silver and a golden plum.  Both are very pretty, sophisticated shades.

I really like that these eyeshadows are non-chalky and smooth, but the silver side had a some pigmentation issues.  The best way to wear it, if you want a full opaque colour, is to layer over a cream base like MAC Cream Colour Bases.  Keep in mind though, that doing so may affect its wear time.

I’m gonna try to show you a look using these eyeshadows in the next few days.  You’re just gonna have to wait to see it! :P

Disclosure: This product was a gift from a friend, and I’m not sure if I am able to stomach a $52 purchase on a YSL eyeshadow duo just yet.

    • I think plum would look gorgeous on blue eyes!

My first impressions are that they are very VERY expensive. If you want a higher end eyeshadow duo, I would go with NARS ($38) because you get more for paying less. :) Plus judging by the texture of this duo, my NARS eyeshadows are much more pigmented and soft.
