Okay okay, so the title may be a little dramatic, but I really really believe it. You want to fight me on this? 
Before I get carried away, these are my OCC Lip Tars in Demure and Memento.

Let’s go back to that “longest wearing” statement, shall we? I applied Demure around 9:00 am before leaving for work. After several glasses of water and a lunch date with So Very Fabulous, this was the state of my lips:

No feathering. No fading. All without a lip liner. Are you convinced yet? Yeah, I thought so.
Something that is very long-wearing does have its drawbacks, though. This lipstick dries completely to a stain, and it gets very dry at the end of the day (around 5:00 pm, when they are still on)! I don’t suffer from overly dry lips, but if you do, you might want to rethink a purchase.
The other issue I have with the lip tars is the slightly messy packaging. See the pooling at the bottom of the cap? It gets pretty messy. So make sure you hold the bottom of the tube while screwing the cap back on.

Even if you do end up wasting some product, good news: lip tars are super opaque and pigmented. A single dab gets you this:

I picked up Memento too. At the time of swatching it, I was in shock already. But it looks so tame in comparison to Demure! Gorgeous! I definitely need to pick up more!

The bag is from Aldo, I got it back in winter 2009. I like their bags and prices! But keep in mind they aren’t the best quality, I’m long overdue for a new one because the material is ripping at the zippers.

For the dryness issue, try using a little of the clear lip tar over top. Works like a charm.
Oh thanks for this! I was thinking about purchasing the clear lip tar! I find that my lipglosses sheer them out unfortunately.

I love Memento for a natural look but I HAVE to get Demure!! Amazing on you! I have really dry lips so I don’t reach for these too often but with a gloss or lip balm I’m good to go. Just doesn’t last as long as it would without.

I’ve got a few of them and I absolutely agree.
I actually wore Harlot the other day and I had to use an oil cleanser before going to bed (and even still they were slightly stained).

wahh I love Demure, that color has a major BAM factor! Memento reminds me a lot of Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Ming.

Memento is a lot brighter than Ming actually, and they have different undertones. Memento has a plum undertone, and Ming is a yellow-pink.

Only with a lip brush! It is very runny during application so I wouldn’t apply it straight out of the tube.
You can buy it in Mississauga at a beauty supply store called Fernanda’s. Google them!
