Around the Interwebz.

Hello ladies. Having a lazy Sunday morning? Here are a few fun reads to pass the time.
Color Me Katie
Color Me Katie is a portal to the colourful world of Katie Sokoler, a street artist and photographer from Brooklyn, NY. I am insanely jealous of her creativity, and I admit, I even attempted one of her DIY crafts on Valentine’s day. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that her cat Moo is very handsome. This is a great source for home decoration projects that I’m sure I’ll be using when I move out to my own place.
Passive-Aggressive Notes
Passive-Aggressive Notes consists of mainly passive-aggressive notes, and sometimes just plainly aggressive ones. What makes this website so entertaining is that you always find yourself in 1 of 2 situations: 1) You feel sorry for the note writer; 2) You laugh at the note writer because he deserves it. It’s hilarious because we all have been in the presence of people who park like douche bags.
The Catorialist
All my Crazy Cat Ladies, put your hands up
! The Catorialist = (The Sartorialist – pretentious hipsters + gorgeous felines). These cats must be from a whole ‘nuther world from what I’m living in, because they actually sit and pose to get their photos taken. My Mingming would never sit through a photoshoot. Well, actually, there was this one time…
Here’s my kitty Mingming vogue-ing way back in her modelling days, i.e., when she was a little less plump than she is now.

My Temporary Body Art.
Sep 1st
I had a great time yesterday at the Canadian National Exhibition with the boyfriend. It’s become a yearly tradition for us, and this year was fantastic as always.
I found a booth at the International Pavilion that did temporary tattoos and I decided to get one. My tattoo is made of black jagua, which is applied like brown henna, but appears blue-black like real tattoos. The difference, though, is that when brown henna flakes off, the tattoo is at its most vibrant colour, while jagua appears faint after 2 hours, but fully develops after 24-48 hours.
Taken 5 hours after application.
I also got a pair of earrings that are made of real leaves dipped in sterling silver. It’s pretty amazing how crafty these people are!
I’m kinda nervous about going back to school tomorrow after working on my internship. I know school will kick my ass but I’m up for the challenge.
Hope everyone had an amazing summer and labour day weekend! Now here’s to an even better fall season!
I am a Frustrated Artist.
Aug 29th
Aah it’s a lazy Friday. It’s been a lazy week actually. I finished my internship last Friday, and I’ve been bumming around the house a lot.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but I took an acrylic painting class last Fall. I love artsy fartsy things and I always wanted to take up an art class (beyond school). So after 10 weeks of 3 hour sessions each, I have 2 paintings to show for it. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but my attention span doesn’t allow me any more than that! lol.
Anyways, I’ve decided to share my paintings with the intarwebz! They’re not originals though. I copied paintings and photographs that I like.

I hope to do a lot more… I just need inspiration, a stop to my laziness / ADD, and time!
