Suffering from BBB: Beauty Blogging Burnout

Benefit Feelin Dandy 2
Right now, I’m not as cute as I was in my snow bunny look.

Bah, winter. February has to be the most frustrating month. It’s really cold, and the end of winter seems so far away. Hence I’m suffering from beauty blogging burnout. :( I feel as though I’m always behind… there are always new products coming in and I can’t physically feature them all. Gah!

Since I like doing makeup looks, I’m going to try a new format for a little while… maybe some looks using the products with short blurbs on how I like them. I might also do more step-by-step picture tutorials. Any suggestions? They would be much appreciated. I had these photos saved on my desktop for a while; maybe I’ll tackle these looks.

Love Sophia Loren. Her bone structure is just insane.

Merry Christmas everybody! I hope your day is filled with love, joy and laughs with family and friends. We were greeted with a nice dusting of snow just after midnight, and I couldn’t help but feel so peaceful and happy at that moment. I have been blessed with so much this year, and for that I am thankful.

I hope you’re having a great day, and I don’t say it often but thank you so much for reading Glitter Geek. Your presence really means a lot to me. xo

Love,
Arianne

May This Makeup Corner Be This Tidy Forever.

Hiatus, shmiatus.  So much for that.  I’m just so excited to show my makeup area.

I have been in obsessive home organization mode lately that I thought I’d share my sorta complete set up for my vanity area.  My vanity table is the IKEA MALM Dressing table.

My most recent addition is the huge hanging mirror I bought from Homesense for a steal — only $30.  I love that it’s almost as wide as the table.  For lighting, I have an OttLite ($30) from The Shopping Channel.

Another Homesense buy that I love is this round silver tray ($15).  It contains my everyday skincare and makeup products, as well as other products that I am testing out.

The mirrored perfume tray was something my mom picked up from a garage sale that she gave me.  I love displaying my favourite fragrances this way; it just looks so luxe.

My makeup brush and hair products holder is a pencil holder from IKEA.  These are the only hair products I use as I’m very picky and products rarely work on my fine hair.

Read on to see what’s inside my vanity table.
