Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water: A Lipstick Bandit and Makeup Lover’s Best Friend.

So you’ve seen my lipstick bandit face.  You haven’t?  Here it is again to jog your memory:

I can say that this is the most makeup I’ve ever worn.  That was A LOT of makeup.  I used mostly long-wearing products like my beloved MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (this even stays on my waterline for a full work day) and Illamasqua Alchemy liquid glitter eyeliner (this liner stays for days on my hand even with regular hand washing).

Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water

During the makeup process, Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water ($14.50) was a godsend for cleaning up the lines of my mask.  The non-oily formula lets me clean up mistakes without melting the rest of my makeup.  With some cleansing water on a cotton bud, this task was super simple and easy to do.

Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water and cotton pads (gross!)

Now, cleaning up that mask was a massive job. I let out a huge sigh, and started working the cleansing water with a cotton pad all over my face. I am so impressed with this makeup remover! Cleanup was a snap, and two very dirty cotton pads later, I looked like a normal person again.

You know you want to see how much it picked up, so… behold.

Yo that’s so… ewwwhyyoushowthatontheinternet;alsdkj;s

Just keeping it real, you know.

The cleanser is a rinse-free formula, so it’s great for lazy nights when you just want to take off your makeup without splashing your face. I’ve never personally done this because I live in pollution-central, but really, your face feels really clean after. This is an incredible cleanser. Get it. You won’t be disappointed.

Beware of the Lipstick Bandits.

I am a member of the Lipstick Bandits.  We obsess over lipstick, and convince you that yes, you do need another red lipstick because this one is a blue red, while that one is a tomato red.  Or this one is a matte, and that one is a cream.  You get the point.

Because we are a band of beauty bloggers, naturally we make a pact with a face of the day.  Here’s mine.

Who am I kidding?

Hope you enjoyed the look. :)  I had a lot of fun creating it and feeling slightly creepy while wearing this makeup.  Don’t forget to visit my fellow lipstick bandits’ amaaaazing creations:

It’s officially spring, but damn does it still ever feel like winter here in Toronto!  There’s no snow on the ground (thank the lawd!) but the temps are still not nice enough to ditch the winter jacket.  However, this means that me donning a dark vampy lip isn’t such a crazy thing.  I got FACE atelier Lipstick in Revenge in a recent swag bag, so I thought I’d showcase it today in this look. :)

Get the Look

For the eyes, brighten your lids by patting on a low shimmer light peach (MAC Arena) eyeshadow.  Using a fluffy blending brush, lightly blend a dark shimmery taupe (MAC Satin Taupe) in the crease.  Apply more taupe to the outer corners of the eyes.  To define the eye further, take an angled liner brush with a matte medium taupe (MAC Coquette) and lightly draw on the crease line.  Soften the line with a blending brush.  Line the upper and lower lash lines softly with a dark cool brown eyeshadow (MAC Brun).  Highlight the inner corners and brow bone with a shimmery beige (MAC All That Glitters).  Add mascara (Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill).

For the face and cheeks, mix foundation (Cover FX Natural FX in M50) with a shimmery loose powder highlighter (MAC Gold Studio Finish Face Powder) and apply all over.  Spritz with a setting spray (MAC Fix+) for a dewy complexion.  Apply a mattifying blot powder (Cover FX Matte FX in Medium) to the T-zone only.  Add a healthy glow to the cheeks with a shimmery pink blush (Marcelle Pink Fusion Multi-colour Powder Blush).

For the lips, apply a dark red lipstick (FACE atelier Revenge) precisely with a lip brush.  Top off with a complementing lip gloss (CHANEL Fatale Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss).
