Lise Watier
MAC Hello Kitty Inspired FOTD.
Apr 25th
Whenever I see a look I like, I save it in the “Makeup” folder on my computer for future reference. Back then, I wasn’t doing FOTDs for the blog, but now I feel more confident in my makeup application skills that you all get to see what sort of looks I dig!
This FOTD is inspired by the Hello Kitty Wild: Stylin’ face chart that was released by MAC in the Hello Kitty Collection last Spring. I never do my eyes this way so it was fun to try something new. I thought the result wasn’t too shabby, no?

Get the Look
The key to this look is a good pointed crease blending brush; my favourite to use is MAC #226 (LE). You don’t have to use this brush, but it will be easier to do the look with a pointed crease brush similar to this.

For the eyes: taking a bright violet (Auraline bright violet), use the tip of the crease brush to trace out a wing shape on the outer corner, and a rounded shape on the inner corner. Fill in the shape you drew out, and blend out slightly. Don’t over blend! Next, take a golden shimmery pink (MAC Expensive Pink) to fill in the rest of the lid space. Using a clean flat eyeshadow brush, drag and blend the violet into the pink. To make the eyes pop even more, draw a shimmery white gold (LIFT Cosmetics Moon Dust) line down the middle of the lid. Blend it in to the pink. Line the lower lash line with a violet eyeliner (GOSH Funky Violet). Smudge bright violet on top for more colour intensity and smokiness. Wing out the top lash line with black eyeliner, then line the waterlines as well. Blend a warm brown (MAC Soft Brown) above the lid colours to warm up the brow bone. Add mascara and lashes!
For the cheeks: apply a low shimmer peach (MAC Peaches + MAC Arena) on the apples. Use bronzer (Lise Watier Havana) to contour the cheekbones.
For the lips: dab a peach or orange lipstick (Marcelle Flame) lightly all over the lips. Top with a sheer shimmery gloss (Smashbox Luster).
