aDesign Brushes for Flawless Makeup Application.

I’ve been using my aDesign makeup brushes for quite some time now. So I guess it’s time for a review! I expected to get the Mini Set (US $45), but I ended up with the Travel Set, valued at US $60! No complaints from me there!

The Pointed Foundation (US $35) brush is my absolute favourite one of the bunch. The strange pointed design looks awkward, but does a fantastic job for hard to reach areas like around the nose. Superb for spreading foundation all over the face quickly and evenly. This puts your normal foundation brush to shame! Believe me. I haven’t used my other foundation brush since I got this. Rating: A+++++.

The Medium Concealer (US $20) brush is pretty good. I find that less concealer goes a long way with this brush on hand. It picks up product well because of its stiffness. Rating: A-.

Aside from the pointed foundation brush, the Powder (US $35) brush is another hit from the set. The problem with most powder brushes is that they pick up too much powder, but it is impossible with this brush. This even makes my drugstore pressed powder look good. Sometimes I go out with just some powder on, and the coverage is better than other brushes give me. Rating: A+.

AngleCheek_head.jpg
The Angle Cheek (US $27) is alright. It works the same as my Coastal Scents brush, so it wasn’t a big deal for me. To me it’s just an over priced angle cheek brush. *shrugs* Rating: B.

Overall, this set is a really good deal ($117 – $60 = $57 difference)! That’s almost 50% off the original price. Although you could go without the Angle Cheek blush. But the Pointed Foundation and Powder brushes are to die for! Plus, they are so sleek with the pure black handle. They are very well made and I’m so happy I got these to try.
