If you ever get a chance to visit Toronto, I always recommend early or late summer. June and September has the most beautiful weather with hot days and cool nights. With the weather heating up, I strive to streamline my beauty routine to be out the door in record time to enjoy the perfect temps. Here are some products that caught my eye recently.
Lancome Miracle Air de Teint Perfecting Fluid Matte Glow Creator ($58). Another reincarnation of the Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation, they say, but this seems to impart a sheerer coverage. I’m curious to try this one. I think Lancome might have hit the sweet spot on the mix of glowy and matte parts in this formula.
BECCA The One Perfecting Brush ($59). A promise of one brush to rule them all! Apparently you can use this for foundation, blush, contour and highlight. I love a good multi-tasker, and this one is great for you jetsetters going off on a holiday this summer.
Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Stick Face Color in Coral Glow ($32). I tried this during an impromptu shopping trip at the Laura Mercier counter (more on that later!), and it imparts beautiful colour and glow. “Bonne mine” in French translates to “healthy looking” (or so an online translator tells me). This gives the skin just that: a healthy looking glowy effect. Want.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($42). I love that messy Alexa Chung hair, but I’ve never been able to get it with just flat iron curls alone. This is a cult beauty classic, and while the price is making me cringe at the moment, I think I might cave soon. Soon Oribe, you’ll be mine.
