A Feast For Your Eyes! Stila Festival Collection Review, Photos, Swatches

I’m going to get down to business here and just say it straight up: the Stila Festival Collection for Summer 2013 (available in Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques, Murale and Sephora) is one of my favourites by far for summer. It brings such unique and vibrant pieces that any makeup lover would die to add to their collections. I received a selection of products so I just wanna show you ALL THE THINGS. 😀

First up, Stila has created a limited edition shade for Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($26) and Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner ($26), both in Turquoise. Both products deliver opaque pigments in one pass. Isn’t this such a unique and stunning shade? In the side-by-side comparison, the Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner is closer to a true turquoise. The Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner leans more mint. Both products are really waterproof and puts up a mean fight against a micellar-water soaked cotton pad. 🙂

Lipstick lovers rejoice! The new Stila After Glow Lip Color ($24) is bright and so hard to mess up! The fat crayon format is friendly for newbies, and this has medium pigmentation that builds well. The lips look wonderfully plump (but not Real Housewives plump); just plain kissable lips. 🙂 I wore Electric Pink today (see below) and it lasted a good 5-6 hours before fading and leaving an even stain. My favourite of these two is Electric Pink, but Festive Fuchsia is also a winner and probably my #1 pick against a late summer tan. These are cherry-scented, but it is very faint that honestly I had to think hard about the scent.

These are so cool. Countless Color Pigments ($29) contain a marbling of three eyeshadow shades. Holy pigment, guys! My camera was freaking out while taking these photos. Finale is a golden peach/tangerine/reddish pink mélange, in a satin finish. Center Stage is a marbling of pink/turquoise blue/golden peach, in a shimmery finish. These were so smooth that I had to double check to make sure they weren’t cream eyeshadows. They are one of the creamiest eyeshadow formulas I have ever used, and they are a dream to blend. Really, the swatches speak for themselves.

Finale looks like it’d make a pretty blush. Do you think the formula would work this way?

    • Finale can be worked as a blush, I know it! Check back for a look. 🙂

      • BooBooNinja

        Yay 😀

  • Eeeee okay I want some now. Electric Pink is !!!!

    • Electric Pink is everything.

  • The lip colors! Don’t really think I’ll go anywhere that allows me to see the florescent effect, but I do love both shades on ya!

  • WOAH! These are so bright I can see why your camera was freaking out. 🙂 They are so very gorgeous. I’ve been so curious about these but wasn’t even aware they were eyeshadows, not blushes, so thank you for the post and review! I also wonder if Finale could be used as a blush or if it has too much sheen?

    • Finale can definitely work as a blush, I think! I’ll use it as a blush in a look. 🙂

  • TracyBeautyReflections

SO BRIGHT!! I have that liner because well it’s MINT. 🙂 It’s great.
I think I need to try a lippie! 5-6 hours is awesome.

    • It really is awesome! Lipsticks don’t normally outlast my lunch, so this was excellent!

  • oh, i like those eyeliners! how is the “brush tip” of the stay all day minty one? it looks like a felty one?

    • Hi Judy! Yes it is a felt tip — very easy to control for thin or thicker lines.

  • Ahh so pretty! Love those Lippies and so great they’re not Real Houswives lip plumping. You looking lovely as always. xx

  • Wow, I love everything! Especially those marbled eyeshadows look so pretty and unique!

    • I really want to check out the other marbled eyeshadows. 🙂

  • WHOOOOOOOAMYGOD!!! Pretty pretty pretty! I used to be obsessed with tie-dye when I was younger and seeing those marbled pigments–especially the ones in Center Stage–really reminds me of that and brings me back! I MUST have these! 😀

    • Ahahahaha omg totally takes me back to tie dye days. My mom put me and my siblings to a summer art camp and we made tie-dye t-shirts LOL. Mine was all…. brown due to all the colours mixing.

      • LOL aww I remember that happening to me a few times too! 😛 I also used to take markers and paper towels and spend hours in the backyard making little tie-die napkins by coloring on them then folding and dipping into a bucket of water 😛 So fun!

  • Lily

So colourful and pretty! I told you before that you have great looking lips, right? It’s so symmetrical… I’m jealous coz mine’s wonky. HAHAHAHAH!

  • Lisa @ MidwestGlam

Whoa! The Countless Color Pigments are SO pretty! I can definitely see how some of the shades would make for a pretty blush, too. I’m also digging that turquoise smudge stick! Great swatches!

  • Rebecca

Those colour pigments are amazing, I have never seen ANYTHING like them in my life! So summery 🙂

  • OHHH now I think I need Finale in my life! I have Acoustic and love it. I was really surprised at how creamy and bendable it is and I think I want to get a few more.
