It feels like it’s been a while since I featured a lipstick. When Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipsticks ($19, online) arrived at my doorstep before Christmas, I literally gasped at their beauty. It took me a while to figure it out, but the click-button top packaging of the lipsticks is pretty cool. And you know what else? The shiny silver packaging repels most fingerprints. It’s like a magical plastic case made of dreams!
Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipsticks in Pink Chérie / Wild about Pink / Color me Coral / Natural Beauté / Sienne Brûlée
Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick is described as “intensely moisturizing and exquisitely smoothing… like a colour-infused fountain of youth for your lips.” These lipsticks feel like the lipstick-balm hybrids we’ve seen in the past year. They have a beautiful sheen and are incredibly creamy. The lipsticks are supposed to boost the production of collagen for the appearance of firm and full lips.
Pink Chérie is bubblegum pink. It is fully opaque. This is my favourite of the group.
Pink Chérie
Wild about Pink is bright reddish pink. Like Pink Chérie, it is fully opaque.
Wild about Pink
Color me Coral is bright orange-y coral. It is semi-opaque.
Color me Coral
Keep reading to see Natural Beauté and Sienne Brûlée.
Natural Beauté is rosy brown. It goes on sheerly.
Natural Beauté
Sienne Brûlée is a caramel brown. It goes on sheerly. On my lips, the colour was very patchy as well.
Sienne Brûlée
Despite the varying degrees of opacity in the lipsticks, they were very creamy and moisturizing as promised. These lipsticks definitely provide the lips a full, juicy appearance, but I found that they didn’t help to fill in my lip lines that much. I think lip butter fans will love this new formula from Mary Kay. Stay tuned for Part 2 to see the rest of the shades!

What is your favourite lipstick-lipbalm hybrid? Are you a fan of this formula? I prefer a fully opaque, matte to low sheen lipstick, but it’s always nice to have options.
