The Looks of Holiday 2012

It was such a hit last season (and it’s so fun to put together), so here’s a glance at the looks for Holiday 2012 collections from our favourite brands. It’s not surprising that we are seeing a lot of gold eyeshadows and red lips from brands that stick with classics (Chanel, Laura Mercier, Clarins and Dior). I always appreciate the brands that do something a little different, though. A little bit of snowy twinkle on the cheeks from Bobbi Brown and Giorgio Armani is super pretty. MAC Glamour Daze was most surprising, but I’m not that excited about it. There’s also the highly anticipated and fashion-forward shu uemura x Karl Lagerfeld collaboration, which may or may not be your thing. The standout collection to me is YSL Northern Lights Collection. If you love colour, you will drool over the collection’s star product: a palette of blues and purples to mimic the Northern Lights. Be sure to come back soon for photos and my review!

    What a nice overview! 🙂

I like the Armani visual the best, but I havent seen anything from their holiday collection yet. Shu Uemura is devine anyway, I love the burgundy palette.
But BB isnt any special to me, the hair, the dark small eyes and the clothes – nah, looks tacky to me.

    • I agree, @Bambi_Twelvetrees:disqus. I don’t know how the BB one actually made it as the final visual. It’s so un-Bobbi Brown to me.

  • For color, the YSL look is gorgeous! I’m not a fan of blue though, so the whole collection isn’t a favorite. The Chanel collection has stood out to me from the start. I like the wine hues and incredible depth of the lip color.

    • The lip colour is sheer no, @IamAlisonM:disqus? Looked sheer from the swatches anyway.

      • Hmm… I thought L’Impatiente is a full matte shade… Back to Google I go!
