Look I’m Loving: Giorgio Armani for Spring/Summer 2012 At Milan Fashion Week.

It’s rare that I feature a full breakdown of a fashion week look, but Giorgio Armani at Milan Fashion Week totally blew me away and this was totally worth sharing. Luminous. Angelic. Breathtaking.

The focus is on the perfect iridescent eyes and skin. International make-up artist Linda Cantello uses mother of pearl-like highlight on the eyes and the temples, along with aqua eyeliner and a wet lip look to achieve the Armani glow.

For the skin, prep the skin with Regenessence Youth Serum and Regenessence High Lift. Dab some Designer Lift Foundation on the forehead, cheeks and chin and extend it with your finger tips. If necessary, cover up circles under the eyes with High Precision Retouch. Draw on your hand Smooth Silk Eye Pencil N°12 (brown) and dab some under the cheek bones to shade the face. For a mat finish, powder the entire face and eyelids with Luminous Silk Powder.

For the eyes, draw a line with the Smooth Silk Eye Pencil N° 4 (black) along the upper lash line, drawing it straight outward.  Pass over the same line with Eyes To Kill Eyeshadow N°20 (new for Bronze Collection for Spring/Summer 2012). Using the Maestro Eyeliner N°1 (black) draw a second line to thicken the lashes line and create depth with the previous line. Take the Smooth Silk Eye Pencil N°4 again and draw a line starting at the beginning of the eye socket, stopping leaving the middle blank and then continuing to the outer corner of the eye.  Soften the lines, extending the outer line further outwards.  Then dab on the top outer side of the eyelid going into the brow and a bit above and to the outside corner of the eye, Eyes To Kill Eyeshadow N°23 (new for Bronze Collection for Spring/Summer 2012) for the “nacrée” finish (for those who don’t understand French like myself, nacrée = mother of pearl). Fill and shape the brows, then curl the lashes and apply Eyes To Kill Lash Stretching Mascara n°1 (black).

For the lips, apply Gloss D’Armani 100 for a glossy finish.

  • Oh my god, what a beautiful look – you’re right; everything about it is just absolutely luminous.

That skin! *swoons* I mean, the eyes and lips are pretty, sure, but the glow is just breathtaking. Love it!

    • Mmmhmmmm that skin!!! It reminds me of a mermaid for some reason. Is that weird? 😛

      • A little 😛 But damn, they’d be some seriously attractive mermaids!

  • That IS such a pretty look! It has such an ethereal, otherworldly quality to it. I’m thinking it’s the gorgeous luminous skin. I’m especially loving that double flick going on!

    • It’s the second time Giorgio Armani has done this double flick liner thing. And I adore it both times!

  • Can’t wait to get my hands on this stuff!

    • Same here Jamilla! Which one do you want? The pearly ETK eyeshadow needs to come home with me.

  • this look is beautiful!! i really love GA products. the model is gorgeous!

    • I know! It helps to have the perfect model for the job. 🙂

  • Sandra

The effects of the GA products are amazing. I just love the colors. I can’t wait to try them and look radiant. Thank you for sharing such an amazing product.

  • Simply stunning. Everything just falls together so perfectly. Love the play of eyeliner too.

  • That plum shine is ridiculously wearable!!! I’m going to have to pick one of those up for myself at that price. Your pics are so great and clear, I just love it’s so easy to truly tell what each shade looks like!

  • Patricia Lee

Love your face color, what shade of Designer Lift Foundation did you use?

    • Hi Patricia! Sorry I don’t know my shade for Designer Lift Foundation. A couple of my shade matches are NARS Sheer Glow in Barcelona, and MUFE HD Foundation in 128.

        Thanks, I’ll check it later!
