Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water: A Lipstick Bandit and Makeup Lover’s Best Friend.

So you’ve seen my lipstick bandit face.  You haven’t?  Here it is again to jog your memory:

I can say that this is the most makeup I’ve ever worn.  That was A LOT of makeup.  I used mostly long-wearing products like my beloved MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (this even stays on my waterline for a full work day) and Illamasqua Alchemy liquid glitter eyeliner (this liner stays for days on my hand even with regular hand washing).

Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water

During the makeup process, Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water ($14.50) was a godsend for cleaning up the lines of my mask.  The non-oily formula lets me clean up mistakes without melting the rest of my makeup.  With some cleansing water on a cotton bud, this task was super simple and easy to do.

Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water and cotton pads (gross!)

Now, cleaning up that mask was a massive job. I let out a huge sigh, and started working the cleansing water with a cotton pad all over my face. I am so impressed with this makeup remover! Cleanup was a snap, and two very dirty cotton pads later, I looked like a normal person again.

You know you want to see how much it picked up, so… behold.

Yo that’s so… ewwwhyyoushowthatontheinternet;alsdkj;s

Just keeping it real, you know.

The cleanser is a rinse-free formula, so it’s great for lazy nights when you just want to take off your makeup without splashing your face. I’ve never personally done this because I live in pollution-central, but really, your face feels really clean after. This is an incredible cleanser. Get it. You won’t be disappointed.

    whoa! I want!

  • LOVE this stuff! Rae told me about it and it was love at first swipe <3. Totally bringing some with me to the motherland :).

    • Oooh that’s very wise, Dani! At least if this ever — god forbid — spills in your bag, it won’t cause an oily mess. 🙂

  • This stuff looks great, and I definitely have lazy nights like that. I may try this stuff out! 🙂

    • Oooh I want to know if you do try it out. I wanna know what you think of it!

  • I’m a huge fan of Marcelle’s skin care products so this will definitely have to go on my to-buy list! Thanks for the review! 🙂

    • Hi Shaylee Anne! What other skincare products do you like by Marcelle? 🙂

      • I use a lot of their Hydra-C line – The self foaming cleanser, Day cream with SPF 15 and the eye cream. I also have their Essentials Toner which I love for removing makeup!

  • Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve been used to bi-layer make-up removers. This one sounds like one I want to try. 😀 You look great btw!

    • Thank you Tiffany! That’s all I used before, too. But I’m totally sold on the new micellar cleansers. Nothing to clean up after. 🙂

  • LOL, I used the Essentials water to remove my mask, too 😛 Crazily enough, it didn’t *quite* do the job – had to add in some oil-based remover to get it allll off. Those Annabelle pencils wear like nobody’s business!

    • Woot! Was it the brow area that was the problem, Rae? I had to rub a bit harder to get that off, but it did eventually go. 🙂

I have to try the Annabelle pencil! What kind was it?

  • Wow that’s awesome. That would have taken more than two MAC wipes.

    • It’s amazing Marisol! Did you know that Marcelle ships to the States now, too? You guys can go shopping!!!

  • Aaah this stuff is GOOD. I hate the cap though, it constantly leaks on me = waste of my precious cleansing water!
