What True Love Looks Like: Diorskin Nude Healthy Glow Powder in Aurora.

It’s not often that a product gets a re-post in my blog, so if it does, you know that I have found true love. I wrote about Diorskin Nude Healthy Glow in Aurora almost two months ago, and since then our love has flourished into a beautiful thing.  Yes, I’m still talking about a bronzer.

Brand new Diorskin Nude Healthy Glow Powder in Aurora, from May 2011

This isn’t a case of love at first sight, unlike many of my luxury brand buys (this Chanel blush for example, needs to get more sweet lovin’ from me).  We’ve been seeing each other everyday, and what we have is real. 🙂  Here is Aurora now, in all his thoroughly loved glory.

Diorskin Nude Healthy Glow Powder in Aurora, July 2011

Now that I have an early summer tan (NC40-ish), I still wear Aurora all over the high points of my face for a subtle glow and highlight.  Because it has a dip in the pan now after a short time, I’m wondering if I should get a backup.  It scares me to think that I might hit pan this year.

Do You Have Any Recent Buys That Have Quickly Made Your Holy Grail of Products?

Please, pretty please, let me know.  I’d hate to miss out on a good thing. 😉

  • Man, your pictures are freakin’ gorgeous mermaid girl! 😛
For me, the GIorgio Armani Sheer Blush #5 has become a fast HG. BUt now I’m hearing it’s discontinued so acck! I’m going to go see if my counter still has some to get a backup.

  • Whoa, you can definitely tell your Aurora has gotten a lot of love! I would absolutely get a back-up at the rate you’re going 😉

    • Yeah I think a backup is necessary, but how am I going to put aside $50? That’s a lot of money LOL.

  • Oh I love this product so much too! Except I got 002 Sunset as I wanted a bronzer more than a blush.. Love the smoothness of this.. I feel your love girl =P

    • Nice! Sunset is very pretty, too. Do you use it everyday?

      • I use it a lot but not everyday.. Coz I have other bronzer that I’m enjoying heaps too.. like the Korres Monoi Oil bronzer and the Burberry blush in 01 Russet.. And of course my trusty Chanel Soliel de Tan

  • Ahhh! All you bloggers are terrible. I feel like I totally need this now!

    • LOL sorry Alex! But it’s my duty to show you beautiful things!

  • Wow, I LOVE your photography skills! That bronzer looks amazing! I haven’t tried any Dior products before but this one is definitely being added to my shopping list! As it seems like it may be a pricey item to pick up right now, I would say you could wait a couple more weeks and get it then?

    • Hi Kelly, this was my first Dior face product and it is amazing. I’m trying to keep my spending at a minimum this month, so I’m not sure if I can get this yet. Maybe a similar product will come along later on? I hope so.

  • Beautiful!

Instant HG? Oh man, don’t even get me started. Yesterday, I grabbed Marcelle’s Wild Pattern Multi-Use Pressed Powder (What a mouthful!) in “Multi-Croc.” It came out with Marcelle’s summer collection, which I’ve mostly been ignoring, but it was on sale, so I figured I’d give it a shot.

Holy makeup love, Batman. Sweep my brush on the lighter side, and I get this beautiful, glowing pink blush. Sweep from the darker side, and I get a bronzer that gives me this awesome, lightly-burnt looking tan. I’m loving this thing so much, I want to start my own makeup blog just to try and spread the word on it before it gets pulled from shelves. It could be that continued use might reveal some flaw and end my love-affair with it, but now I’m thinking of the other multi-use powders and wondering if they’re just as fabulous….

    • Sounds like a great product Jilliterate. 🙂 I’ll have to check at my Shoppers or Rexall so I can swatch it.

  • My Chanel Bronze Rose sees love everyday. Buuuuuuut I’ve been lemming after your HG too…so perhaps I’ll scrounge my pennies…LOL

  • I’ve been using this nearly every day, too…the dip in my pan makes me sad. I think it’s sold out in a lot of places, though 🙁

    • Oh really? I hope the product goes deep… I don’t want to see pan for a while. I think I’m going to hold off until next summer for their newest bronzer release. I hope it’ll be just as awesome.

  • You keep making me want this product. I saw it in my last Sephora visit & kept going back to swatch it.

    • LOL do it do it! 😉 You’ll love it Marisol.

  • Your Aurora is getting lots of love girl! I like my Aurora, but I’ve only used it a handful of the times in the 2 months I have owned it because it’s sadly, not my favorite. It is lovely though! two of my HG products are definitely Tarte Clay blushes and MAC pro longwear concealer 🙂 For bronzer, I’d say MAC Give Me Sun or Milani Terra Sole Baked Blush. I don’t own backups of anything though. But if you do like it a lot, it may be worth it. 🙂

    • Oooh the MAC pro longwear really is amazing. LOVE that one a lot!

  • This is one of the Diorskin powders that I’ve been flirting with. Aurora’s definitely a bit of a player. I’d love to see it on!

  • Is it weird that seeing well-loved makeup (aka with dips and wear) makes me happy? Because it does :3

  • I have this and I absolutely love it.

I have both Dior Aurora and Dior Original Bronze in Healthy Tan and they look different when swatched on my arms, but when worn on my face, I can barely tell the difference.
