I own a total of four red lipsticks in my current stash, but Vasanti Soft Finish Matte Lipstick in USA ($15) is my favourite, hands down.

USA is a rich matte blue-based red. As a regular lipstick wearer, I’m used to the waxy, overly creamy, or drying formulas out there — and I still keep these lipsticks because I love the colours. You know, sometimes looking good comes at a price. 
What I find most surprising about the Soft Finish Matte formula is how comfortable it feels on the lips. Vasanti has somehow transformed the usually drying matte formula into a hydrating one, without the use of mineral oil / petrolatum.
I especially love that Vasanti Cosmetics is a Canadian brand, so Canadians can find them in their local Rexall and Shoppers Drugmart (store locator) For the rest of the world (hello there!), you’ll be glad to know that they also ship internationally. Awesome right?

My vasanti staples….the tinted lip balm in Bahamas-I have that on my person everyday! I also like the lip stain and the eye/cheek putty. They stay in my cosmetics bag!

ooh, that’s pretty! i have 2 reds that i mix to get the perfect red for me, so it’s kind of a hassle :p.
this one looks amazing… and we’re kind of the same skin tone (i’m just a bit lighter) so this should work for me too. shame it’s matte, though. i don’t like matte =/.

That is a beautiful shade of red,and it looks really good on you.
My fav red lipstick is MAC Viva Glam Cyndi which, MAC Dubonnet (which is more berry-based red), and Maybelline Sunset Red. I think these are the red lipsticks I own, or rather that I use them quite often. The rest…I think I need to dig into my stash to find if I have any more red lipsticks.

Hi! I just came across ur website and i have to say that all the lipsticks colors look so nice on you.
I was wondering what is ur regime of putting them on? because when i put them on some of the color falls into the lines of my lip =/
Hi Virginia! Honestly, my lipstick regimen is very simple:
1) If it’s a light coloured lipstick, I just apply it straight from the tube.
2) If it’s a brightly coloured lipstick, I just apply it straight from the tube, but slowly to keep the lip lines nice and crisp. Also, if it’s very creamy, I apply in layers. So apply from tube, then blot. Repeat until you get the intensity you want.
