Ladies, is this a collection or what?  MAC is coming out with A Tartan Tale for Holiday 2010 — a four-part collection featuring lots and lots of plaid.  This is the only the Colour collection.  There are also Chapters 1 & 2 (makeup kits), and Sir Teddy / Kids Helping Kids / Viva Glam collections (greeting cards, teddy bears, and Viva Glam lippies! — which I am dying to get my hands on). :D

What Do You Think of A Tartan Tale?

I was disappointed with the colour payoff from the eyeshadow, which was really sad because it is gorgeous on the pan.  I found it kicked up too much product with a swipe of a brush.  The Family Crest pigment is amazing.  On a swatch, it just looks like a dark brown base with bronze sparkle, but once on, it looks like 2-3 beautifully blended eyeshadows. :D The Pearlglide liners are also not to be missed!

    i SOOO want undercurrent, i have this ever so slight obsession with turquiose and teal at the moment… :)

      You will like Undercurrent! It also lasts pretty well on the waterline, although they don’t recommend it. But I still use it however way I want. :)

    That is way too pretty to use. And I hate tartan.

    I like the bright eyeliner and all the shadows, but I am way too inept (read: also lazy) to try and do my makeup without turning into a raccoon.

      Haha FB! If it helps, I read that the eyeshadows are quite sheer, so it’s hard to look like a racoon with very sheer colours. :)

      You should really try a bright eyeliner one time, just on your lower lash line. I like the unexpected placement of colour, and it doesn’t look like too much.

    Whoa that pigment is amazing. I am not too fond of pigments due to the fallout but dang this is nice.
