Makeup From Sephora Powell, San Francisco: Urban Decay Naked Palette and Illamasqua Blushes.

Now that I have shown you what we were up to in and around San Francisco, it’s time again to talk makeup.  Well, now that I think about it, it’s always time to talk about makeup. :D

Illamasqua Powder Blusher

Canadian Sephora sadly lacks the amazing Illamasqua, so I wanted to check out the brand’s blushes (naturally!).  They have incredibly smooth mattes that I wanted to take home, but I felt too guilty about hauling so much.  I did swatch some of the blushes though, so everything’s not lost.

The blushes really were that pigmented on the back of my hand.  I wanted Hussy and Excite.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

My friend from work and I have been stalking Sephora in the past couple of weeks to see if we can snatch up the coveted Urban Decay Naked Palette. When I saw this in SF, my neutral loving self literally skipped towards the cashier with one in my hand. My fellow Canadians, if you are able to hold out for a trip to the US, I would suggest buying there instead. It is US$44 / CDN$53.  For reference I am MAC NC35 / NC37.

Virgin / Sin / Naked / Sidecar

Buck / Half Baked / Smog / Darkhorse

Toasted / Hustle / Creep / Gunmetal

24/7 Liner Pencils: Whiskey / Zero

  1. Ohhh, I want this so bad :(
I’ll bet my dog that it will be double the price when it eventually reaches English shores.
I don’t know why companies think it’s acceptable to charge us *so* much extra!
The swatches look beautiful unfortunately so it’s going to be a must-have for me.

  2. Man! I was contemplating whether or not to get the Urban Decay Naked Palette! I just don’t know if I’m willing to spend $53 on more neutrals! Oh btw, I think the Sephora at the Eaton’s Centre still has this!

  3. I was browsing Sephora on Monday and decided to look to see if they had the palette back in stock. They did! I immediately clicked on Add to Cart. Although I wasn’t sure I needed another neutral palette, the hype over it made me want it even more.

  4. yayy sephora post. omg Illamasqua Excite is such a pretty color, good for you for walking away though lol. The UD Naked Palette looks absolutely perfect. The more I get into makeup, the more I realize how awesome neutrals are.
