Now, if you wear your favourite lipstick, and then layer your favourite lipgloss on top, do they work?
My two favourites, MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick and Smashbox Candid Sheer Color Lipgloss, is like a match made in heaven.

I find myself wearing this all. the. time. this summer. It is so wearable with a neutral eye, and also balances out a stronger eye really well.

awww I love the kitty pic. My fave lip products change every week, lol! Maybe coz I have too many of them, haha! this week I’m loving Nars Schiap l/s and MAC True Babe l/g and they go beautifully together

oooh pretty. my favorite lip combo is Lancome Timeless lipstick + Sonia Kashuk lipgloss in Whisper. It makes such a pretty brownish nude color, which I’ve found I prefer to peachy nudes

Oooh will check out that SK shade when I go back to Target (who knows when that’ll be!). Yeah I find pinky browns to be the easiest nudes to wear.
Hm, I don’t usually layer my lip products but I’ve never actually thought about if lipstick and gloss work together. I guess that’s because I only really have two or three glosses I wear once every few months or so LOL.

Really? For someone who says lipstick dries out her lips, I would think that you layer a gloss on top for the moisture factor.

I find Smashbox can really do the fine shimmer well in their glosses!
A combo I love is L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Shade 712 topped with YSL’s Golden Gloss in No 14… a shimmery purply lip that’s perfect for a night out… although I smudgy the lipstick to avoid it looking gothic dark…
And wedding lip..that’s how rumours start lol

Ooh hot combo! I don’t own anything purple tinged… I’m afraid it’ll look really off on me as my skin tone is quite warm.

Yes I have warm toned skin too.. the lipstick is actually not that dark when applied lightly and is really more mauve
Oh I see. Mauves are quite easy to pull off actually, and they are usually very flattering.
