Does anyone ever feel like going on a major makeup haul? That happened to me today. Around 3:00 pm at work, it hit me all of a sudden: I want to go makeup shopping. If I don’t, I think I might explode. So far, these are in my ohmygodIneeditnowgiveittomenaooo list.
Laura Mercier “African Violet” Eyeshadow

Source: StrawberryNET.com
Of course, the product photo doesn’t do it justice, but African Violet is the prettiest plum/greenish gold duochrome. It’s quite sparkly, but it’s a grown up kinda sparkle. Does that even make sense? I don’t know! But I want it! Of course TNBTTGSY has the best swatch of it here, from last year’s Laura Mercier holiday palettes.
Chanel “Pink Teaser” Glossimer

It’s Chanel. *sigh* I happen to own no Chanel, and I plan to change that with the Chanel Les Contrastes de Chanel Fall 2010 collection. Perhaps a Glossimer to start? Swatch here.
Chanel “Enigma” Eyeshadow quad

And while I’m at it, I am also eyeing this eyeshadow quad from the same collection. It costs a whopping US$56, which I’m sure converts to like $200 Canadian. LOL.
Any Bad Makeup Cravings Lately?
Please tell me I’m not alone.
The Fall 2010 collections have been killing it for me lately. They are all so gorgeous, making me want to rock a full on dark smoky eyes. But of course, I can’t. It’s still too hot to wear that much eye makeup!

I want soooo many things…. it seems that I’ve gone from hardly anything to far too much in a short year!
Revlon floral affair blush palettes, I have one but as it was a limited edition I’m keeping my eyes peeled….MAC pigments and blushes and I’ve recently seen the new campaign from NARS and there’s a STUNNING bright violet/blue eyeshadow in the collection but the price! Have to save I think lol…
Btw someone told me that the products for a drugstore brand called Bourgois (don’t know if you get that in Canada) are made by Chanel!
Oops! You and I both Attia!
Funny I have never heard of Revlon floral affair blush palettes… I’ll have to investigate further. NARS always steals my heart, always.
We do get Bourjois (just very recently). I just don’t know what’s good.
oooh. the purple eyeshadow is so pretty.
I want new nailpolish actually… nailpolish and buff square thingee… my nails look atrocious. And I think I need new foundation. I’ve gotten seriously brown this summer. ~__~;
The Asian Pear’s last post … Recipe- Yummy Guacamole
Aww my purple shadow addict! Yes it is pretty!
Bourgois have lovely eyeshadows in cute packaging and they’re called ‘Little Round Pot Eyeshadow’ lol http://www.bourjois.ca/index.cfm?cm=QCCFranchise&ce=details&primaryKey=1&categoryID=0&productID=18 , and I have a blush in shade 79 Rose Ambre which is gorgeous. Not to mention their 3D glosses
…
And how beautiful is this shade? Think I’d have to blend it with something darker to make a wearable smokey eye – the shade is called Daphne http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk/the-latest/fall-2010/single-eyeshadow.html
YESSS Daphne is something that is totally right up my alley. Want. it!
Thanks for the tips on Bourjois; I will check it out when I get the chance.
Enigma has been on my wishlist since i saw the promo pics last month, cannot wait for it! I need to check out that Laura Mercier shadow. Seems like a colour that would bring out my hazel peepers
Shadowy Lady’s last post … Coral and Pink Eyes with MUFE
It would definitely bring out your hazel eyes! The eyeshadow is so ridiculously smooth and silky too.
I’ve been wanting LM African Violet forever too!!! I keep hoping they put it in one of their palettes….
Catherine’s last post … Back with June Favorites!
I saw it again in Sephora yesterday and got reminded that I need this.
African Violet sounds gorgeous, will have to swatch that next time I’m in Sephora. I’ve been lusting after the Kat Von D Ludwig palette for ages, so far I haven’t caved, but it’s probably only a matter of time
makeup morsels’s last post … Back In Business Review
That’s a really pretty palette!
I’m a sucker for greens and browns.
Oh, I definately know how you feel! I’ve just started a project 10 pan and suddenly all I can think of is makeup! I am especially craving Chanel Nail polishes (which are $40 here in Australia)!
I love your blog!
Hi Kimberley! Project 10 pan is soo difficult! The only thing I go through is facial moisturizer, but that’s only because I’m not picky with that. I heard Chanel nail polishes are really really nice.
