Whoever said that lipgloss is dead clearly hasn’t tried FACE atelier Peach Lip Glaze. I must admit: over the past year, my love for lipstick has outgrown my old preference for lipgloss. But FACE atelier has given me a reason to give lipgloss another chance.
Recent lipglosses I have tried are so sticky that the colour not only sits on my lips, but also infused in my hair and smeared across my cheeks. I’m looking at you, MAC. And yet others are sparklebombs. While they are great if you are a 7-year-old playing model, it just doesn’t translate well on a twenty-something in the office.
Fortunately, FACE atelier Peach Lip Glaze is none of the above. I have been playing with a $1 sample I purchased, and here’s what I have to say: L. O. V. E.
Unfortunately, this is the $1 sample size. So stingy!
Before buying this, I actually didn’t own any peach lipgloss (this is the part when you become shocked at this revelation). It has a sheer-medium pigment so it’s pretty to wear on its own. Because of its gorgeous fine shimmer, that is how I prefer to wear mine. It also layers beautifully over lipstick, adding extra oomph to pink, coral and peach lipsticks.
Lip Swatches
I’m a bit awkward at lip swatches, hence you rarely see these on the blog. I just don’t know how to position my lips!
Take note, cosmetics companies: lipgloss doesn’t need to be sticky. It can be non-sticky and fabulous. I will definitely buy a full-size lip glaze soon, most likely at IMATS Toronto in November. I am really afraid to run out of my samples. Rating: A+.
You Did It Again!
This is the second product I have tried from the line (the other is their amazing foundation), and both times the products hit it out of the ballpark. How do you do it, dear FACE atelier?
