About Me.

Stolen from Makeup and Beauty Blog: Getting to Know You.

1. Tell me about yourself and why you love makeup.

My name is Arianne. I was born in the Philippines too (gotta love that Filipino food!) and moved to Toronto, Canada in the beginning of high school. Now I am 22, and a full-fledged girly girl. I love makeup because it makes me feel confident and ready to face the day. It’s amazing how looking good makes a difference between a good day and a bad day.

I like that I can express my moods through makeup. I’ve always liked art, and I think putting on makeup is my chosen medium. I’m a frustrated artist!

2. What do you do for a living?

I am on my final year in University, on my way to an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. This explains the Sci-fi geekery. I like math, puzzles, and looking at code.

3. Tell me about your family.

My parents are a little strict and old school. They still think I’m a baby, even though I’m almost finished my schooling! I have an older sister who is 10 months older than me (parents got busy, LOL! and awkward?!). We used to share a room until I was 19, which made us hate each other being in the other’s personal space. Now we’re good friends again! Haha. My brother is 19. He likes video games and the usual boy stuff, but he also likes to steal my Gilmore Girls DVDs and watches them episodes at a time! Ha!

My cat’s name is Mingming. She’s a ninja and sweetheart rolled up into a furry kitty. Feisty, and photogenic to boot! I think she hates being photographed, but since my sister got a DSLR, she can’t escape it. See here: 1 2.

4. What are a couple things you like to do in your spare time?

I like to go snowboarding when I have time to drive to the mountains. It hurts like hell because I’m still learning, but I like it a lot. My dream is to ride half-pipes in the future. I also like watching puppies and kittens on YouTube.

5. Is there anything else you’d like to share?

I think I might be turning into a crazy cat lady.

Scrub-a-dub-dub.

Winter always brings me problem skin. So itchy, scaly, yucky. Lucky for me, my sister keeps Crabtree & Evelyn Cocoa Butter, Nutmeg & Cardamom Body Scrub in our bathroom. I think I’ve used half of it already, and I’m starting to feel bad. lol. Anyways.

This is definitely my go-to product for winter skin. Slab it on dry skin and give it a good scrub. I do this in the shower / tub because it has a tendency to fall off quite a bit. Once I’ve finished my whole body, I rinse then pat dry. Et voila! No need for body lotion. This is honestly the best scrub on earth! So scrubby and moisturizing, but definitely not oily. And don’t even get me started on the scent: it’s so yummy that you’ll want to snack on it. Just pure perfection.

For less exfoliation, apply on damp skin after a shower, then rinse off. It’s so much more fun than applying lotion!

I may just have to buy myself a tub, and leave my sister’s alone. :) Rating: A+.
